Districts across the state are seeing their premiums rise by hundreds of thousands of dollars. And they’re getting less coverage than they had before.

School restrooms: Florida school districts are preparing for the implementation of a new law restricting restroom use to a person’s biological sex at birth, WJXT reports.
Bell schedules: School officials across the state have questions and concerns as they look into how they will meet new requirements that high school classes start no earlier than 8:30 a.m., Fort Myers Florida Weekly reports. They have until 2026 to make changes.
Accident insurance: The Bay County school district is starting a new program to insure all students in the event they have an accident such as breaking their leg on campus, WMBB reports.
