BMS Group has announced the appointment of Jean-Jacques Henchoz as the new Chairman of the Board, effective 1 May. Henchoz succeeds the current leadership after a distinguished career in the global reinsurance sector.
Henchoz joins BMS from Hannover Re, where he served as CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board. Under his leadership, Hannover Re experienced significant growth, including double-digit earnings increases, a top-tier return on equity, and a substantial rise in market capitalisation, which ultimately led to the company’s inclusion in Germany’s prestigious DAX Index.
With over 20 years of leadership experience at Swiss Re prior to his time at Hannover Re, Henchoz brings a wealth of executive and board-level expertise to his new role at BMS.
