New Managing General Agent, Ambrey Global Specialty, Focuses on Marine War Risk Insurance
Ambrey, a leading maritime risk management consultancy, is expanding its services with the launch of a new managing general agent (MGA), Ambrey Global Specialty (AGS), dedicated to the marine war risk insurance sector.
As a Lloyd’s coverholder, AGS is authorized to underwrite policies backed by a panel of Lloyd’s of London insurers, led by MS Amlin. This partnership enables AGS to offer specialized insurance products, focusing on spot breach marine hull war risks insurance.
Leveraging Ambrey’s extensive data and expertise, AGS aims to provide intelligence-driven risk mitigation and financial security for shipowners operating in high-risk regions. The firm’s reputation as one of the largest providers of maritime risk management services, with a 15-year history of forecasting and minimizing risks, positions AGS to offer unique insights to its clients.
Ambrey’s capabilities span a wide range of maritime threats, including terrorism, war risks, piracy, narcotics, migration, and other perilous factors impacting global shipping.
The launch of AGS follows the recent establishment of Ambrey’s global operations center in Southampton.
