LIA Singapore Appoints Wong Sze Keed as President, Announces Key 2025 Goals

The Life Insurance Association, Singapore (LIA Singapore) has appointed Wong Sze Keed, Chief Executive Officer of AIA Singapore, as its new President for the 2025-2026 term. Wong succeeds Dennis Tan in the leadership role.

Alongside Wong, Chan San San of Prudential Assurance and Greg Hingston of Great Eastern Life have been elected as Deputy Presidents. The new Management Committee also includes Andrew Yeo from Income Insurance as Secretary and Harpreet Bindra from HSBC Life as Treasurer.

The committee features representatives from several prominent insurance companies, including Manulife Singapore, Singapore Life, and Tokio Marine Life Insurance Singapore.

Looking ahead to 2025, Wong has outlined several key priorities for LIA Singapore. These include improving financial literacy, simplifying legacy planning and claims processes, building greater trust in the industry, and supporting a sustainable healthcare ecosystem.

As part of its efforts to streamline legacy planning, LIA Singapore will release consolidated resources in Q2 2025. Additionally, the association plans to update its Nomination of Insurance Nominees guide to include provisions for electronic beneficiary nominations, helping to modernize the process.
