Cigna Healthcare has announced the appointment of Rob Peat as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its Asia Pacific operations, effective April 1, 2025. Peat, who will report directly to Jason Sadler, President of International Health, brings over two decades of experience with the company.
Peat’s leadership will focus on accelerating growth and improving market integration across key markets in the Asia Pacific region, including Hong Kong, Singapore, mainland China, and Australia. His appointment follows a successful tenure in various senior roles at Cigna, where he began his career 22 years ago as an actuarial expert. Over the years, Peat has held significant financial leadership positions, including Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and most recently, International Health.
As part of this leadership transition, Shaun MacKenzie will step into the role of Chief Financial Officer for International Health, also starting April 1, 2025. MacKenzie, who has been with Cigna for 17 years, has held a variety of roles in actuarial, finance, and strategy throughout his tenure.
Cigna Healthcare’s announcement reflects the company’s continued commitment to strengthening its international operations and advancing its position in the growing Asia Pacific healthcare market.
