Allianz Trade has announced the appointment of Wongi Kim as the new country manager for South Korea, effective April 1. Kim takes over from Andy Ryoo, who is retiring after a distinguished 22-year career with the company.

Kim has been with Allianz Trade since 2015, initially joining as a Business Development Manager. In 2023, he was promoted to Commercial Manager, where he was responsible for overseeing business development and account management.

Prior to his tenure at Allianz Trade, Kim spent over eight years at Seoul Guarantee Insurance Company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Dongguk University.
