Howden Appoints New CEOs for Singapore and Hong Kong

Howden Private Wealth has announced significant leadership changes within its Private Wealth management team, appointing Bryan Pee as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Singapore and Malaysia and promoting Shirley Sy to Deputy CEO for Hong Kong.

Pee, who joined Howden in September 2023 as Head of the Singapore and Malaysia offices, has been instrumental in driving substantial growth in the region. With an extensive background in senior management roles at Credit Suisse, Pee will now oversee multiple teams and join Howden Private Wealth’s Executive Committee to contribute to the division’s strategic direction. His appointment took effect on March 10.

Meanwhile, Sy, who has been with Howden since 2011, has been promoted to Deputy CEO for Hong Kong, a position she assumed on January 1. Sy, who initially joined the company as New Business Manager and became Head of Operations in 2014, has played a pivotal role in the company’s operational success and growth. In her new role, Sy will continue to lead the Hong Kong operations while also expanding her responsibilities to include partnership engagement.

Howden Private Wealth has experienced impressive growth, reporting a 45% increase in policies written in 2024. The company has placed over $50 billion in life insurance coverage globally, with more than $1.5 billion in new premiums written annually.
