Manulife has announced the extension of its strategic partnership with CUHK Medical Centre, which was originally formed in 2021. The expanded collaboration will now feature histotripsy, a cutting-edge treatment, under the centre’s ‘Medical Professional Support Service.’
As part of the partnership, eligible patients will have the opportunity to participate in clinical trials aimed at monitoring and evaluating treatment outcomes. The procedure will be made publicly available at the centre once it completes the necessary trial phases.
Histotripsy, a non-invasive technique, was first introduced to medical institutions in Hong Kong through donations from the Li Ka Shing Foundation.
