AXA XL Insurance has announced the appointment of Sylvie Gleises as the new regional Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Asia, effective March 24.
Gleises, who will be based in Singapore, will oversee the company’s strategic direction and operations across the Asia region, while continuing in her role as CEO of AXA XL Singapore Insurance. She succeeds Gilles Fromageot, who has been appointed CEO of AXA Morocco and CIMA.
Gleises has been with AXA Group since 2006, serving in various leadership positions. Her past roles include CEO of Continental Europe and Global Head of Distribution & Marketing at AXA Art, as well as Head of Revenue Synergies and Head of Client Management at AXA XL.
She holds degrees from ESCP French Business School and the London School of Economics. In addition, Gleises serves as President of the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore and is a member of the Global Advisory Board of TEFAF.
