Great Eastern General Insurance (Malaysia) (GEGM) has appointed Jeremy Yeap as its new Chief Executive Officer, following the retirement of Ng Kok Kheng after 17 years in the role.
Yeap, who brings over 25 years of experience in the general insurance sector, is known for his expertise in distribution channel development and transformation. Prior to joining GEGM, Yeap held senior executive positions at Generali Insurance Malaysia Berhad and AXA Affin General Insurance Berhad, where he spent 12 years honing his leadership skills.
Yeap holds a Bachelor of Arts from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and an associate’s degree in General Insurance from the Asian Institute of Insurance. He is also a Chartered Insurer and an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
