Bajaj Allianz General Insurance has introduced a groundbreaking health insurance policy, “HERizon Care,” designed exclusively for women in India. This plan provides coverage for critical illnesses, maternal and reproductive health, and overall wellness, ensuring financial protection at various stages of life.
Tapan Singhel, CEO of Bajaj Allianz, explained that the policy aims to address women’s unique health concerns, going beyond standard coverage to provide crucial financial support for critical health needs.
HERizon Care is the first health insurance plan in India to offer multiple specialized covers under one policy.
The policy features two core covers: Vita Shield and Cradle Care, along with optional add-ons. Vita Shield offers protection against 34 critical illnesses, including those specific to women, along with added benefits like child education support, financial assistance during job loss due to illness, and coverage for incidental medical expenses. It also includes wellness programs, teleconsultations, and preventive check-ups.
Cradle Care focuses on reproductive health, covering medical expenses for surrogate mothers and hospitalization related to complications from oocyte retrieval. Optional add-ons include coverage for infertility treatments, adoption, egg freezing, maternity expenses, and fetal health.
The policy also provides coverage for prophylactic surgeries and legal expenses in cases of sexual assault, kidnapping, and acid attacks.
HERizon Care is available to women aged 18 to 80 and children aged 90 days to 35 years, with coverage options ranging from INR 3 lakh to INR 2 crore. The plan also offers premium discounts for early enrollment, HPV vaccination, and long-term policies, along with flexible payment options and lifelong renewals.
