Allianz has entered into a strategic partnership with Fudan University to address key challenges in China’s insurance and finance sectors. The collaboration has led to the creation of the Fudan-Allianz Finance and Insurance Research Centre, which will focus on emerging issues such as technological innovation, risk management, and the needs of an ageing population.
In addition to the research centre, the partnership also includes the sponsorship of the Allianz Auditorium, a newly established facility at Fudan University’s School of Economics. This venue will serve as a hub for events designed to boost public financial literacy and foster greater dialogue within the financial industry.
The partnership was officially launched at a ceremony attended by prominent figures including Wu Wei, Vice Mayor of Shanghai; Gu Jun, Deputy Secretary General of Shanghai; Qiu Xin, Chair of Fudan University’s Council; and key Allianz representatives such as Renate Wagner, a Member of the Board of Management at Allianz SE, and Danny Lam, CEO of Allianz China Holding.
Danny Lam emphasized the importance of the partnership, stating, “We aim to integrate the academic insights of leading institutions with the industry expertise of global enterprises, creating a comprehensive platform for academic research, talent cultivation, and international exchange.”
This collaboration marks a significant step forward in enhancing the research and development capabilities within China’s rapidly evolving insurance and finance sectors.
