Miller, a leading global risk and insurance services firm, has officially opened its South Korea office as part of its broader strategy to expand operations in Asia.
The newly established office will be headed by David Kim, who boasts more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. Kim has previously served as the CEO of Marsh Korea and was the founder of Johnson & Higgins Korea, which was later acquired by Marsh. Prior to his insurance career, Kim spent a decade in the investment sector, including a notable tenure at Morgan Stanley in Japan.
Joining Kim at the helm of Miller Korea are three experienced professionals: Andrew Kim, Youngkum Yoon, and Tae Hoon Kim.
Andrew Kim, who formerly held the role of CEO at AmTrust Korea, brings extensive knowledge of the Korean insurance market with over 25 years of experience. He has worked with several prominent firms, including Hanwha General Insurance, Chubb, and Marsh.
Youngkum Yoon, who will oversee Finance and Operations at Miller Korea, brings 23 years of experience, most recently serving as Finance Director at Assurant Korea.
Tae Hoon Kim, specializing in the property and casualty sectors, previously worked as a director at Aon Korea. He has deep expertise in serving large Korean clients, particularly in the energy sector and other industries.
This strategic move signals Miller’s continued growth in Asia, with an experienced leadership team in place to drive success in the South Korean market.
