Company bolsters its life reinsurance expertise with seasoned industry professional
CCR Re has announced the reappointment of Ludovic Boulanger as Life Underwriter, effective January 2025. The move underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its capabilities in the life reinsurance sector.
With more than 18 years of experience in life actuarial science and life reinsurance, Boulanger brings a wealth of knowledge across key areas, including protection, long-term care, credit insurance, and savings solutions. His career spans various strategic roles, having developed expertise in structuring tailored solutions for complex portfolios.
Prior to joining CCR Re, Boulanger held significant positions in the reinsurance industry, including a tenure as Reinsurance Expert at BPCE Assurances from 2019 to 2025. He also served as Head of Life Reserving at PartnerRe, where he played a pivotal role in managing life reinsurance portfolios and developing bespoke solutions. Earlier, Boulanger was a Reserving and Valuation Actuary at SCOR Global Life, contributing to various high-profile life insurance and reinsurance projects.
Boulanger holds advanced degrees in actuarial science and financial markets from prestigious institutions, including Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers and Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée.

In a related development, CCR Re also announced the appointment of Vaibhavi Mehta as Director of Underwriting for its life division. Mehta, with over 17 years of reinsurance and consultancy experience, has held leadership roles at RGA and AXIS Specialty Limited. Her expertise includes managing complex portfolios and developing market solutions across Asia Pacific and Europe. Mehta holds a Global Executive MBA from INSEAD and has a master’s degree in hospital management from the Apollo Institute of Hospital Administration in India. She is also a gold medalist with a Bachelor of Business Administration from South Gujarat University.
