ComfortDelGro (CDG) and Zurich Insurance Company have teamed up to launch a new, exclusive travel insurance product, Zurich Travel Comfort. Announced on January 6, the product aims to provide comprehensive coverage for both individual and group travelers. The policy is available for purchase through CDG’s Zig app.
Designed for single-trip use, Zurich Travel Comfort offers protection from the moment travelers leave home. One of its standout features is coverage for the journey to Changi Airport, ensuring that customers are protected in case of delays or disruptions caused by vehicle breakdowns during transit. In such cases, the policy will reimburse up to $1,000 to cover additional accommodation or travel expenses.
Additionally, the policy includes complimentary airport lounge access for customers whose flights are delayed by over two hours. Other key benefits include 24/7 global emergency assistance and coverage for risks associated with non-competitive leisure activities.
This collaboration comes shortly after CDG’s announcement on January 3 regarding the expansion of its premium vehicle offerings. The company has added the Toyota Alphard Hybrid to its fleet, joining other high-end models such as the Mercedes Viano, Toyota Vellfire, Mercedes E-Class, and Lexus ES300. The Toyota Alphard Hybrid, which can accommodate up to six passengers, features a spacious interior with ventilated seats, massage functions, and multiple USB-C charging points, providing a luxurious travel experience for its passengers.
With the introduction of Zurich Travel Comfort and the expansion of its premium limousine fleet, CDG continues to enhance its services, offering customers added convenience and comfort.
