Howden has made an important leadership announcement, designating Rohan Bhappu as the Deputy CEO of Howden Asia, with an effective start date of June next year. Bhappu will be based in Hong Kong and report to Chye Huat Goh, the current CEO of Howden Asia. In the future, Bhappu is set to take on the role of CEO for Howden Asia and report directly to David Howden, the global CEO.
Bhappu brings with him an extensive and impressive background. After spending 22 years with Marsh McLennan, where he held key leadership positions across various locations such as the USA, India, Singapore, and Hong Kong, he is well-equipped for this new challenge. Most recently, he served as the CEO of Marsh McLennan Hong Kong and Macau and oversaw the integration of JLT post its 2019 acquisition. Additionally, his leadership in Marsh Asia’s sales operations and Mergers & Acquisitions practices further enhances his credentials.
However, Bhappu’s official start at Howden is contingent upon fulfilling his contractual commitments to his current employer. As Howden looks to the future with this appointment, the company anticipates leveraging Bhappu’s skills and experience to drive growth and strategic initiatives in the Asia region, while also planning for a seamless leadership transition within the organization.
