Manulife Hong Kong has made a significant move in the healthcare domain by teaming up with New Frontier Group, a prominent healthcare provider in China. Through New Frontier’s subsidiary, Prosper Health, the partnership is set to offer cashless medical services to eligible customers. This venture is a response to the growing demand for top-notch medical services among Hong Kong residents and mainland Chinese visitors, aiming to enhance cross-border healthcare choices.
The scope of the cashless services is extensive. It includes day-case surgeries at all United Family Hospitals and inpatient procedures within Prosper Health’s network across mainland China. Manulife will directly handle the settlement of medical expenses with Prosper Health for pre-authorized treatments. Moreover, eligible patients will have access to cashless chemotherapy and radiotherapy at United Family Hospitals. Cancer patients will receive additional support in the form of expedited outpatient treatment appointments at key United Family Hospitals in cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen.
This initiative is not Manulife’s first foray into such partnerships. It builds on its previous association with HEAL Medical, which is part of its Greater Bay Area (GBA) Medical Hub. The latest collaboration with New Frontier Group further cements Manulife’s commitment to providing comprehensive and convenient healthcare solutions, leveraging strategic partnerships to offer enhanced services and experiences to its customers.
