Kwoon Chung Bus and insurtech firm YAS have joined hands to introduce Hong Kong’s first embedded travel insurance for cross – border bus passengers. The insurance is integrated into the “Hong Kong – Mainland Express” WeChat Mini Program, offering complimentary travel protection to customers on their first trips when they purchase memberships or points. This partnership aims to enhance safety and convenience for the millions of travellers crossing the Hong Kong – mainland China border annually.
YAS has teamed up with Generali Hong Kong to implement this program. It provides accident medical coverage and protection for personal belongings. For adults aged 18 – 79, accidental medical expenses are covered up to $650 (HK$5,000), with different caps for children and seniors. There are also specific coverages for therapy, acupuncture, dental expenses, and in cases of accidental death or permanent disability. Personal belongings have their own coverage limits and deductibles.
To further improve the travel experience, Kwoon Chung and YAS are collaborating with major retailers like Maxim’s, Kee Wah Bakery, Catalo, and Hang Lung Properties to offer “Double Delight” shopping benefits to members. These discounts across over 50 retail outlets in Hong Kong, including various regions, encourage visitors to explore local shopping destinations.
