Allianz General Reduces Travel Insurance Costs in Holiday Season

Nearly a quarter of Malaysia’s domestic flights, 61,014 out of 258,116, were delayed from January to August this year. These delays have raised concerns among travellers.

Allianz General Insurance (Malaysia) Berhad has a solution for last – minute holiday travellers. It’s offering a 20% discount on travel insurance until 31 November. Sazali Rahman, the deputy chief sales officer, said many travellers make the mistake of skipping insurance, though it’s a small cost compared to the holiday expense.

The coverage under Allianz Travel Care or Allianz Travel Easy (Single Trip Coverage) includes crucial benefits like accident – related death and permanent disability coverage, medical expense coverage, trip cancellation protection, personal luggage and effects coverage, and delay coverage. Customers can use the promo code “HOLIYAY20%” to get the discount either directly online or through an authorized agent. The flight delays are due to various factors including commercial issues, operational challenges, weather, air traffic control problems, and technical malfunctions. This insurance offer comes at a time when travel is on the rise and such issues are prevalent.
