Manulife’s Asia segment witnessed a remarkable 877% year – on – year (YoY) increase in net income attributable to shareholders in the third quarter (Q3 2024), reaching $606 million. In the first nine months to September, its net income also jumped 136% YoY to $1.3 billion.
The region’s annual premium sales grew 64% YoY to $1.4 billion. Overall, the group achieved a Q3 2024 net income of $1.8 billion, an 82% YoY increase.
“We remain focused on executing our strategic priorities and meeting financial targets for a strong 2024 finish. I’m confident in our ability to keep generating value for shareholders,” said Roy Gori, Manulife’s president and CEO, in a statement.
