Auren recently organized the Foro Legal Seguros, a significant event that brought together experts from the insurance sector to discuss recent legislative changes affecting the industry. The forum focused on new regulations governing customer claims and introduced the role of a supervisory authority under the Financial Customer Protection Act.
Key speakers at the event included Inmaculada Roldán, head of Auren Legal’s Insurance department, Lázaro Cuesta from UNESPA, Ricardo Martínez from D.A. Defensor, and Juan Bataller, a Commercial Law professor at the University of Valencia.
A central theme of the discussions was the importance for insurance companies to develop strong and transparent compliance systems. These frameworks are essential for staying ahead of the changing regulations while maintaining service quality and staying competitive in the long term.

Ignacio Gomá Garcés, senior director of Public Affairs at FTI Consulting, highlighted the need for balanced regulation in the area of artificial intelligence (AI). He noted, “Law is necessary but not sufficient. Collaboration between public and private sectors is essential to safely navigate AI’s opportunities and challenges.”
