Agile Underwriting Services (Agile) has announced the appointment of Matthew Rowan as its new Group Risk and Compliance Officer. Rowan will be based in Sydney, where he will be responsible for overseeing the syndicate service company, MGA operations, claims handling units, and fostering collaboration with broking partners.
Bringing over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, Rowan has held prominent positions at major Australian broking groups, including AUB Group and Steadfast. His most recent role was Chief Compliance Officer for Aon’s Australian division. Prior to relocating to Sydney in 2020, Rowan spent a decade at Argenta Group in London, where he rose to the positions of Chief Risk Officer and Compliance Director.
Agile Syndicate 2427, which Rowan will be overseeing, is managed by Asta, a leading third-party managing agent at Lloyd’s and a subsidiary of the Davies Group.
