Hong Kong, May 24, 2024 – Generali Hong Kong has introduced ARTE Generali’s fine art insurance solutions, marking the initial availability of these offerings in the Asian market. This launch, which underscores ARTE Generali’s strategy for sustainable global expansion, is in line with Generali Group’s Lifetime Partner initiative in the art sector, commencing with its presence in Hong Kong.
Tailored for private collectors, the newly unveiled solutions offer a spectrum of options for homeowners and encompassing collection management services. Plans are in place to extend these offerings to corporate collections, museums, and exhibitions later this year.
Rob Leonardi, Regional Officer International – Asia at Generali, expressed optimism about the collaboration with ARTE Generali, emphasizing its timeliness in meeting the evolving needs of the local fine art community. Jean Gazançon, CEO of ARTE Generali, underscored the company’s focus on the art insurance market and expressed pride in inaugurating the Hong Kong presence alongside Cecilia Chang. Gazançon emphasized ARTE Generali’s strength in understanding the needs of the art insurance market, boasting unique underwriting expertise, specialized services, and innovative digital tools in collaboration with Generali’s carriers.
ARTE Generali has developed a toolkit to assist clients in managing their art collections and assets, integrating digital technologies for seamless interactions with business partners and customers. Key digital solutions include the ARTE Generali App, developed in collaboration with AI specialist Wondeur, and ARTE Generali ProCollect, developed with SpeakART.
Since its establishment in 2019, ARTE Generali has introduced art insurance solutions in various regions, including Germany, France, Italy, the UAE, Austria, and the UK. With Hong Kong now joining the fold, it marks the seventh region to offer these solutions.
