Srinagar, May 16: PNB MetLife, in partnership with the Jammu & Kashmir State Government and the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI), is spearheading a comprehensive insurance awareness campaign across the region. As the designated lead insurer for Jammu & Kashmir’s State Insurance Plan, PNB MetLife is dedicated to advancing IRDAI’s goal of achieving ‘Insurance for All by 2047’.
In a recent statement, the company outlined its diverse initiatives, which span Srinagar, Jammu, Shopian, Sopore, Anantnag, Poonch, Rajouri, Pulwama, Kupwara, Handwara, and Baramulla. Over the past two fiscal years (FY2022-23 and FY2023-24), PNB MetLife has conducted 110 service camps, assisting 950 customers across 11 cities and reaching 35 different locations.
A notable initiative, the ‘Bima Rath’ campaign, involved a specially branded van traveling over 600 kilometers in 15 days, engaging with more than 250,000 individuals through proactive awareness drives and community interactions. This effort underscored PNB MetLife’s commitment to ensuring that insurance awareness reached even the most remote areas.
Additionally, PNB MetLife has installed 277 murals across Jammu & Kashmir to promote grassroots-level awareness. These murals, along with newspaper advertisements, highlight the crucial role of life insurance in providing financial security. Complementing these efforts, digital marketing campaigns on social media and other online platforms have achieved over 27 million impressions and approximately 5.4 million engagements.
Sameer Bansal, Chief Distribution Officer of PNB MetLife, emphasized the significance of these initiatives. “Our ongoing insurance awareness campaigns in Jammu and Kashmir reflect our commitment to fostering financial resilience and empowerment within the community,” Bansal stated. He noted the successful outreach to a substantial number of customers and regions as evidence of the company’s dedication to bridging the financial literacy gap.
PNB MetLife, in alignment with the mission of Punjab National Bank (PNB), one of India’s oldest nationalized banks, continues to drive its purpose of ‘Milkar Life Aage Badhaein’.
