Nathan Walton, renowned for his extensive experience in the insurance broking domain, has strategically assembled a team of professionals specializing in commercial insurance broking. Backed by The Broker Investment Group, Walton has capitalized on his well-established network within the insurance sector, resulting in notable client acquisitions and a substantial increase in gross written premium (GWP) since the firm’s inception.
Walton’s foray into insurance broking dates back to 2003 when he founded JSW Insurance. Over the course of a decade, he steered the business to significant growth before successfully selling it to The County Group in 2013, subsequently assuming a pivotal role on their board.
While with The County Group, Walton played a key role in elevating the company’s gross written premium to an impressive £100 million. Following this accomplishment, Walton transitioned to consulting, contributing his expertise to various high-profile projects for esteemed clients in the industry.
Reflecting on his journey, Walton shared, “After some highly enjoyable insurance consultancy projects for several high-profile clients, as a relatively young man, I still had a burning desire inside to set up and run another insurance brokerage. Using some highly respected industry professionals as a sounding board, Peter Cullum and Dave Clapp as two examples, I was encouraged to return to what I love doing best.
