The Insurance Council of New Zealand, Te Kāhui Inihua o Aotearoa (ICNZ), has announced the appointment of its new president and vice president.
Toni Ferrier, who recently stepped down as president upon transitioning from AIG New Zealand to Marsh McLennan, a non-member of ICNZ, will be succeeded by Amanda Whiting, Chief Executive of IAG New Zealand. Adam Heath, Chief Executive Officer of FMG (Farmers Mutual Group), will assume the role of vice president, succeeding Whiting.
Expressing her gratitude for the appointment, Whiting stated in an emailed release, “I feel honored to have the confidence of my fellow board members to take up this leadership role for general insurers and look forward to working with Adam to ensure New Zealanders continue to enjoy the strong protection our sector provides.”
The newly appointed ICNZ president also took a moment to acknowledge Toni Ferrier’s significant contributions during her term, expressing appreciation for her valuable input. Whiting also extended best wishes to the new leader of Marsh NZ in her release.
