Singlife has made a significant stride in the insurance and innovation space with the unveiling of Singlife Connect 3.0. This third iteration of their accelerator programme is centered around ecosystem sales and the creation of comprehensive solutions that break free from the confines of traditional insurance models.
The programme, which aims to support up to five startups, is on the lookout for companies that can play a crucial role in constructing a well-rounded “Beyond Insurance” ecosystem. It has a particular focus on forging integrated solutions in multiple key areas. These span from integrating health and wellness initiatives, forming lifestyle and rewards alliances, devising financial literacy and wellness strategies, to enabling digital commerce integration. The selected startups stand to gain a wealth of benefits. They will have access to Singlife’s vast network of ecosystem partners, the chance to jointly develop “Beyond Insurance” propositions, receive regulatory guidance for hybrid insurance-lifestyle solutions, and benefit from the mentorship of industry experts throughout the accelerator’s tenure.
Open to startups in the lifestyle sector with an inclination to incorporate insurance into their offerings, the programme favours those with established operations or clear plans to enter the Singapore market. The emphasis is on business-to-consumer solutions that can enhance the overall lifestyle experiences of customers. The past two editions of Singlife Connect have already yielded successful graduates like Intellect, HeyMax, Outside, and GetPaid, which have launched commercial projects facilitating insurance distribution. This new edition holds the promise of further expanding the boundaries of what insurance can offer in tandem with other aspects of modern life.
