Pierpoint, who is set to report to Jake Jauncey, the Head of MTL, and Phil Wheeler, the Head of Marine, will be tasked with the crucial objective of broadening Miller’s North American book of business.
With an impressive tenure of nearly four decades in the marine insurance realm spanning London and international markets, Pierpoint brings a wealth of expertise and experience. His past achievements include a significant stint as a portfolio manager for British Marine, a subsidiary of QBE. In this role, he effectively managed the protection and indemnity book across London and Singapore.
Furthermore, his time as a senior executive director at Atlantic Insurance Brokers was marked by notable accomplishments. He was instrumental in developing the retail broking business in Houston, Texas, and also spearheaded business development efforts in London. His appointment to Miller in November is anticipated to inject new impetus and drive growth in the firm’s marine operations, especially in the North American market, leveraging his extensive knowledge and proven track record in the industry.
