Aon Appoints New Leader for Data and Analytics

Aon has made a strategic appointment, naming Magnus Roe as its new global chief data and analytics officer. With this move, the company aims to supercharge its commercial solutions with enhanced analytical capabilities and empower clients to make more informed decisions.

Based in Singapore, Roe will take the helm of the data and analytics team. He will report directly to Mindy Simon, Aon’s chief operating officer, and work in tandem with Andy Marcell, CEO of Risk Capital, and Lambros Lambrou, CEO of Human Capital. In his new capacity, Roe will be tasked with integrating artificial intelligence, data governance, and analytics. This will involve close collaboration with the analytics teams of both Risk Capital and Human Capital to ensure that data-driven insights translate into tangible value for clients.

Roe also has a significant history within Aon, having held previous positions such as head of strategy for risk analytics and global COO for reinsurance analytics. His extensive experience positions him well to address not only the technological and strategic aspects of the role but also to coordinate with Aon’s data privacy and compliance teams to navigate the complex web of regulatory challenges. As the insurance and analytics landscapes continue to evolve, Roe’s leadership is expected to play a crucial role in shaping Aon’s data-driven future and maintaining its competitive edge.
