University of Iowa Achieves Success with Risk Management and Insurance Program

The University of Iowa is experiencing success with its newly established Risk Management and Insurance Program.

While classes in insurance have been available for years, students could previously only earn a certificate, not a degree. This has changed with the introduction of the new program.

The launch of this program is timely, as some Iowans are witnessing insurance companies exiting the state. Last year, five companies withdrew from Iowa after incurring billions in losses from storm damage.
