On September 19, Stephen Sills, CEO of Bowhead Specialty, and Doug Hammond, CEO of NFP, were among the top executives recognized at the Insurance Insider US Honors ceremony held at 583 Park Avenue in New York City.
The Insurance Insider US Honors celebrate exceptional achievement and talent within the US wholesale, specialty, and (re)insurance sectors, with awards distributed across 31 categories following a thorough review of more than 120 entries by a panel of judges.
Sills received the esteemed Insurance CEO of the Year award for successfully leading Bowhead’s public launch less than five years after its inception. Meanwhile, Hammond was awarded Broking CEO of the Year for his pivotal role in the NFP-Aon transaction.
In accepting his award, Sills emphasized that the recognition reflects the collective efforts of his Bowhead team in elevating the company “from a start-up to the New York Stock Exchange.”
In other notable company awards, Beazley was named (Re)Insurer of the Year, Acrisure earned the title of Retail Broker of the Year, and RT Specialty was honored as Wholesale Broker of the Year.
This year’s ceremony attracted over 500 attendees, all gathering to celebrate the industry’s most outstanding talent.
