Insurance Advisory Partners (IAP), a specialized investment bank focused on the insurance and insurtech sectors, has appointed Johan Slabbert as Senior Advisor, based in London.
Slabbert brings with him extensive industry expertise, spanning more than 27 years across key global markets including the UK, Europe, North America, Latin America, and Japan. His career highlights include senior leadership roles such as CEO and CFO in both Consumer and Commercial Insurance, with expansions into Specialty Insurance at Lloyd’s and US MGAs specializing in E&S business.
Notable positions held by Slabbert include CEO of MSIG North America, CEO of MS Amlin AUL, Chairman of Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Company Europe Limited, and CEO and Founder of Augustus Specialty. He has also served as CEO and CFO of Chaucer Limited at Lloyd’s of London. Prior to these roles, Slabbert accumulated over sixteen years in various senior finance and non-finance capacities across multiple continents at global insurer AIG.
