Cleveland-based Embrace Pet Insurance has announced a generous pledge of $30,000 to support local animal non-profits during the festive season, aiming to enhance the welfare of animals in need. As part of this initiative, Rescue Village, located in Geauga County, will receive a substantial contribution of $20,000, according to a recent news release.
Rescue Village is dedicated to providing shelter, medical care, and finding homes for abused and homeless domestic animals. Embrace’s substantial donation will cover all adoption fees for cats and dogs at the shelter until the entire contribution is utilized. This significant step aims to facilitate the adoption process for potential pet parents and empower Rescue Village to save more lives within the community, the release outlined.
In addition to covering adoption fees, Embrace’s donation includes financial support for essential medical care for animals at Rescue Village before they find their forever homes. This ensures that the animals are in good health and well-prepared for their new families.
Embrace Pet Insurance President, Brian Macias, expressed the company’s commitment to removing financial barriers for families looking to adopt pets during the holiday season. He stated, “Through this local campaign, we are partnering with two charities that can ease these burdens for families, creating a happier holiday season for pets and their loved ones.”
Rescue Village Executive Director, Kenneth Clarke, highlighted the significant impact of the partnership, emphasizing that the organization takes in over 2,000 animals annually, providing comprehensive veterinary care, including spaying and neutering surgeries. The collaboration with Embrace Pet Insurance not only encourages pet adoption but also contributes to covering some of the veterinary costs incurred by the humane society, ensuring that pets are well-prepared for success in their new adoptive homes, Clarke added.
